2016 Locavore Participant: McCaffrey’s Food Markets

Here in Doylestown we have been anticipating the opening of a new specialty food market, Simply Fresh by McCaffrey’s. We are excited that they will be joining us as a producer at the 2016 Locavore.

McCaffrey’s is a locally owned Food Market. The first McCaffrey’s Food Market opened in Yardley, PA in 1986. McCaffrey’s currently serves customers in four locations: Yardley, PA; Newtown, PA; Princeton, NJ; and West Windsor, NJ and soon, Doylestown, PA.

A recent note from their President states – “Smaller than its other Markets – approximately 13,000 sq. ft, as opposed to its usual 40,000 sq. ft. – Simply Fresh by McCaffrey’s will offer the “best of” what McCaffrey’s is famous for: the highest quality produce, meat, seafood, cheese, deli, bakery and floral, along with chef-crafted, gourmet prepared foods. Each full-service department will be staffed with food experts – Chefs, Butchers, Seafood and Cheese Mongers, Bakers and Baristas – from open to close. And, party planning will be a breeze with the help of our on-site Catering Coordinator.

A few highlights of the store include: a crepe station, hundreds of cheeses from around the globe, custom cakes, a gourmet coffee bar, a comfortable seating area and hundreds of organic and exotic product offerings.”
