Doylestown Food Co-Op Presents Celebrity Chef Farm to Table Dinner
DOYLESTOWN FOOD CO-OP PRESENTS
CELEBRITY CHEF FARM TO TABLE DINNER
Dinner will be Prepared by Renowned Chef and Doylestown Mayor, Ron Strouse
On August 22, the Doylestown Food Co-op will host their inaugural Celebrity Chef Farm to Table Dinner at the Bucks County Audubon Society at Honey Hollow. The dinner serves as the Co-op’s largest fundraiser of the year and will be a lively community gathering with delicious food prepared with ingredients from local farms.
With a background in dining and hospitality, it made perfect sense for Doylestown Mayor and Chef Ron Strouse to generously lend a helping hand. Chef Ron co-owned and operated Evermay-on-the-Delaware, a historic inn in Erwinna before entering into public service. He has kept his culinary skills finely tuned and we can’t wait to enjoy the fruits of his and our farmers’ labors.
John LaSala, Co-op Board member and Fundraising Chair, said, “We are incredibly excited to have renowned Chef Ron Strouse creating a gourmet experience using the best that our local farmers are producing! With that, the beauty of Honey Hollow (a National Historic Landmark), and the extended reach supported by Visitbucks.com, this promises to be the Co-op’s biggest, best and most fun event ever!”
The dining experience will be accompanied by a silent auction and music by local jazz quartet “Jazz with Friends.” The event will start at 6:00 pm and run through 9:00 pm. Tickets are available at $75.00 for members and $95.00 for non-members. To reserve your place visit farmtotable.doylestown.coop. The Co-op is currently accepting volunteers for the event and sponsorship inquiries. The dinner is BYOB.
